VIP Panel Guest - Matthew Ferguson

Please join us in welcoming yet another Recon 2017 VIP Panel Guest! MATTHEW FERGUSON, whom everyone remembers as the computer and electronics whiz kid Seymour Birkoff, has also agreed to attend Recon!

Matthew Ferguson grew up in Ontario and is a graduate of the exclusive Claude Watson School for the Performing Arts in Toronto. He began his career with his theatre debut when he was 16 years old.

After the very unpopular-with-fans death of Seymour Birkoff in “La Femme Nikita’s” Season 4 “Abort, Fail, Retry, Terminate,” Matthew continued on through the end of the series as twin brother Jason Crawford and made special appearances in Season 5 as Jason.

When “La Femme Nikita” ended, Matthew continued his career for several seasons as a series regular on “An American in Canada” and “Odd Job Jack,” an animated series. He also appeared in other Canadian TV series, “Murdoch Mysteries”, “The Associates,” “Hockey: A People’s History” and “Snakes and Ladders.” His later film credits include “Hypercube,” “I Shout Love” and “Owning Mahowny.” He has also appeared in numerous theatre productions and served as the theatre producer at Long Eared Plays, where he produced his first play. Matthew has taken another career path as well, having found that he enjoys teaching young people. He completed studies in screenwriting/film editing at Ryerson University and has also become a certified instructor through Tennis Canada and the National Coaching Certification Program.

Matthew lives in Montreal with his wife and two children.
