Special Panel Guest - Chris Heyn

ReCon has a new Panel Guest announcement for this Friday night! Join us in welcoming CHRIS HEYN! Chris is no stranger to the La Femme Nikita fandom. For fans during the series run, he was our contact to the inside (ok that's the truth, but it's also a little play on the title of Chris' book, "Inside Section One"!) Chris, we are so happy you are joining us! Biography: Christopher Heyn was the assistant to executive consultants Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran for all five seasons of La Femme Nikita, and served primarily as the series’ script coordinator in the Los Angeles office. During the run of the series, he also ran one of the most popular La Femme Nikita message boards, and made several personal appearances on behalf of the producers to three of the four La Femme Nikita fan conventions in Toronto. As the special features consultant to the La Femme Nikita DVD releases, his voice can be heard on the commentary tracks for the deleted scenes included on the Season Four boxed set. After La Femme Nikita concluded, Heyn spent the next five-plus years writing the ultimate insider’s guide to the making of the series, and the book "Inside Section One: Creating and Producing TV’s La Femme Nikita" was published in October 2006, with a special introduction from series lead Peta Wilson. Beyond La Femme Nikita, Heyn has worked on a number of other high-profile television series, either as a story coordinator for action dramas like Baywatch, or a post-production coordinator for reality series like Fox’s Celebrity Boxing. Before arriving in Southern California, Heyn also wrote a variety of feature articles, music and film reviews for regional publications and local newspapers in the eastern and southeastern United States. In recent years, Heyn has moved from TV production into TV advertising, where he manages national campaigns for several clients across the automotive, health and online retail sectors. In his free time, he enjoys exploring US national parks, and has currently spent extended time hiking through 42 out of the 59 parks to date.
